HP300e

I am having touble getting my HP300e writer to play pre-recorded dvds from Warner Brothers (Body Heat, Bonnie & Clyde, Wild Bunch, Enter The Dragon, etc). I talked to HP support and they said they'd never heard of this problem. If it was a common problem then I imagine I'd at last heard about in one of these forums.
If I'm the only one then it must be my specific writer.
As anyone encountered this problem?

i have the same burner and don't have the problems you have. do you have up to date firmware?

Yes, I believe so. I just checked again this weekend and it said there weren't any firmware updates.

What SW are you using? WinDVD or PowerDVD?

PowerDVD. It also didn't work with Windows media player.

maybe you have a bad decoder. wmp uses the decoder from the installed dvd software. try uninstalling and reinstalling power dvd. or uninstalling power dvd and using another dvd software program.

I had a friend try the Body Heat DVD in his HP200e and it wouldn't play in his writer either. Must be something about early Warner Brothers discs.
