ok, i just upgraded to winXP and i cant play svcds mpgs in wmp its sending for the codecs but its reciving an error in downloading, what codecs do i need i thought i had all of the possible codecs, it played fine before the upgrade in winME, it plays the vcds without any problems, thanx for any info.

You need an MPEG2 codec. If you have a DVD-software player that should fix your problem. I recommend videolan:
http://www.videolan.org/
it's freeware. WinDVD or PowerDVD should work too.
