    Hi i am a new member but not new to the site i have beeen reading this site for aboutt two years and have learned alotb from it . i decided to become a member because i am stuck on the use of the video then program i heard about on this site. i can not get it to open up in my computer. i have windows xp and have downloaded the file videothen 1b and the jar file and have downloaded the java file from java script jre. i try and type in the command prompt java -classpath videothen.jar com.alcorgrp.videothen.VideoThen it says java is not recognized as a internal or external file. thanks again forr all the help through the years, and i hope your around for many more.

    thank you for your response,but i have loked through this post and have not found any answers except that alot of people seem to be testing this pogram and it seems like itworks for encoding. i just don't know if i have missed a file or if i'm trying to open it the wrong way.[/b]

  4. Try placing the path to you java\bin directory in you path variable. In order for DOS to find an executable, the path to that executable needs to be in your PATH variable.

    you must first download the java runtime environment (JRE) from java.sun.com. When you install it, it should automatically update the PATH environment variable to point to the installed JRE.

    If that doesnt work, you will have to edit the videothen.bat so that "java" is replaced with "c:\program files\java\j2re1.4.1\bin\java".
