That Crazy Futureshop ? (CA)

I was wondering if anyone has had similiar experiences.

A few weeks ago, they had (and still have) a web special on, 15pc of Maxell 2x -R for 24.99. The picture they use is from the 5pk jewel cases. So I ordered a bunch of them, and low and behold they were maxell spindles. More importantly, they weren't maxell manufactured, but actually Ritek G03 1x. So all said and done, I returned them at the store and got the manager to exchange them for 2x 5pks.

Just last week, the actual 2x 5pks went on sale, for 9.99. Since walmart hasn't had their 4x on sale in a while, I decided to get a little more 2x as 9.99(CAD) seems to be as low as you get, and who knows when these crazy stores will have their next sale. Ordering online has free shipping, so lazy me, decided todo it that way.

The discs arrived today. I crack open the box, and voilla, Maxell 4x -R 5pk jewel cases. The "creme de la creme". Quite the welcome surprise.

Was it a shipping mixup? Well I check my bill to see the product sku, and confirm that it is the same as listed on line. Then I check online to list the manufacturers ID, and low and behold the reorder number listed on the website is that of 4x packs, not 2x.

So the long and short of it: online, they have maxell 2x -R 5pks listed, but in reality they are actually 4x. The actuall product is 4x, but they are so totally incorrectly describing it.

If only I had known this sooner, I would have purchased MUCH more. Now the sale is over and they are back to $12.99

So anyone that is interested, if you order the 2x from their website (5pks) you will actually get 4x. And it's not a shipping mistake.

Best Buy Canada also have nice sale on memorex DVD (-/+R). they have them for 10packs@$15cdn. I only use the 4x +R Memorex RICOHJPNR01 media. They were out of the 10 packs so they gave me the 5 packs at $7.50 so I bought another 6 5packs. along with the 25 5packs I aready have. Great media for the Plex 708a which burns these at 8x. I think the Best Buy sale is good till end of week.
