I've done a couple projects in Vegas 4.0 (from a miniDV) and frameserved them over to TmpgEnc for encoding to mpg2.
My question is: What is a reasonable bitrate for my projects (considering a DV source)?
I've been encoding at CQ90 with bitrates between 6k-8k. Needless to say, the 5-minute encodes come out to ~300mb...is this normal?
What do you think my optimal BR should be without unnecessary padding?
