please help me to choose a good dvd-writer!!!

Your store has a very good selection of burners. My preference would be as follows:

1. NEC ND-2500A - Excellent performance at a very low price

2. Pioneer A07 - Your store soesn't have it yet but maybe in a few days they will. Excellent performance too but at a higher price.

3. Plextor PX-708A

4. LG GSA-4081B

5. MSI DR8-A


Please note that freeCom is rebadged NEC. Most likely the model they have at your store is a 4X DVD+/- model, same as NEC ND-1300.

I did a lot of research before buying a writer, and was fortunate enough to be able to try some of them out as well. I finally chose the Plextor 708A, and have been exceptionally happy with my choice. Just my own personal experience. :)

THE black bezel NEC 8X is on sale at Newegg for $105

Get it now, it's fluxing between in-stock and out-of-stock

also if it's out of stock, buy the one bundled with Roxio for $110

I HAVE a crappy Plextor 708A.. that has to be fixed 30 days after I bought the freaking thing (lost it's CD capabilities).

I might get the NEC as a backup

It's for my brother-in-law actually, and i think he's got a pretty new "noname" pc.


Right now the "NEC ND-2500A" is in the lead.
