    I currently have the A03 writer and plan on upgrading to the A06 or A07. Is there anything special I should know before installing the new writer?
    System:
    - Windows 2000 Pro PC
    - Dual AMD 1.3 processors
    - 512 RAM
    - Matrox 2500

    if you purchase a bare drive you will need new burning software
    as that bundle that came with the a03 will certainly not recognize
    the 107
    i'd reccomend nero 6.3 or higher

    i have the 107 and its sweet! i upgraded the firmware a few days ago, its now region free, rip speed up to 12x, and most importantly, i can burn 4x media at 8x!!!!!!
    1)Why Not Overclock a little?! speed 4 free!!!!
    2) If your question has anything to do with copying PS2/PC/XBox games, find a more appropriate website

    If he applied the latest upgrades as they were released (HA!!!) he may not need newer SW
    Cendyne/Pioneer 105 & 104 with a Dazzle* Hollywood DV-Bridge.
