Hyundai HY-1020 region hack needed

Hi,

I recently bought a Hyundai HY-1020 "Home Theatre System" on eBay (see

as an example) that's supposed to be region free, but isn't. (I contacted the seller, and they simply told me that it should work.)

I've searched high and low for a hack, but can only find methods for other Hyundai models (none of which work on the HY-1020).

Has anyone here ever come across this player? Perhaps it's a re-badged "something else", but what?

Someone else at Customer Service has just sent me the following:

Open tray.
Press volume up and STMO button at the same time.
Then press STMO button on its own and scroll down to zero.
Press enter.
Press play or set up to exit.

I'll try it tonight and post results tomorrow.
