Just remember that you'll need a PC to do the flashing.
Excellent news,
1°- Our friend "Nil" has flashed the latest Pioneer DVR-107 firmware in RPC1.
With, icing on the cake, a boost of rip speed to 12x and possibility to burn 4x good quality media at 8x (including RitekG04, which I use and successfully managed to burn at 8x.)
- You can get the firmware here:
DVR-107D v1.05 - RPC-1 + 12xRip + 8xDVD-R.zip
- and the flasher here:
Flasher
- a combined .exe can also be downloaded there:
DVR-107Dv1.05_RPC-1+12xRip+8xDVD-R_WINDOWS_XP.zip
2°- The RPC1 firmware for the NEC ND2500A can be found here:
ND2500A RPC-1 + 12xRip + 8xDVD-R.zip
Rip speed is supposed to be boosted at 12x too, but I couldn't test it since I don't own a NEC burner.
PS : Some beta-tester of the 10.3.3 just told us that the Pioneer 107D DVD burner is natively supported by the system without any modification or hack. We can conclude that this burner has good chances to be shipped in parts of the future Apple range.![]()
