Quick (and stupid) Nero Question

I have some video files on my computer that I want to burn to DVD-R's, do I want to make a DVD-ROM(ISO) or a DVD-Video? I know I'm a newb. also I need to convert these to dvd format first right?(mostly avi and mpg) On last question Do I need to put in in the VIDEO_TS file when I compile it , or below the AUDIO_TS and VIDEO_TS folders...thanks alot

It depends if you want to play them on your PC or set top player.

If it´s the second option you´ll need to reencode to mpeg-2, author and then burn a DVD-Video. You can find out all about that in the guides section of this site.
