I have something strange happening to me when using CloneDVD. It seems like the program isn't using the full space it should. I first compressed a DVD and it came out 4.16 gb, then I tried it again, but this time it came out 4.08...The same settings and the same movie . Is there any reason why it would not take advantage of a full blank? I feel the more room left over the worse the quality of the picture will be.

  2. Maybe its somethin 2 do with DVD format. U can also save the DVD 2 ur hard drive, so it will use maximum space.

Many DVD's are less than 4.37GB's after stripping streams. You may be encountering a disk that doesn't really need compression. I use CloneDVD and have never encountered the problem you describe.
