You have to reverse the wiring on the yoke (the thing on the neck of the picture tube inside the set, with thick copper wires wrapped around it). Take a look at this webpage and it will give you some idea of what is involved. Be careful of this if you don't know what you're doing, there are high voltages inside the set. Make sure it's unplugged before attempting anything. You'll also need a soldering iron and solder.

This page describes something similar to what you want to do, not exactly. It's just to give you an idea of what you have to do.Ethernet (n): something used to catch the etherbunny -
Like roundabout said you have to reverse the wires on the yoke. There should be four wires: red & blue / green & yellow. Wires blue & red are for horizontal deflection and green & yellow are for vertical. I'm not sure if this is the same for all tvs but it's all i've seen. Don't know why you wanna do this for but i'm strangely interested as to what it would look like. Let us know how you go and if you can post a pic of the final screen image.

i wanna do this because i bought a projection screen lens that makes the the tv 150 in+ tv. but the downside of this is that it makes the image flip-flopped. and thanX for the info.

I haven't worked on it in quite a while...maybe theres something new that I haven't looked at...but in my opinion, it doesn't work. Good luck though...and if you have success, please post again and let us (me) know.

ye i too have tried the 'amazing 150in projection from any tv' scam, i knew it wouldn't work but curiosity got the better of me as usual. Granted i did get images to project on the wall in absolute pitch black darkness but it look really dull and crappy, not good enough for watching television let alone DVDs. Oh well look at it this way when you get old and your eyesight isn't as good as it used to be, you can always use that plastic lens thing to read the newspaper. Thats just my testimonial by the way, so good luck.

A bit extreme...
I worked on TV's and around High Voltage most of my life. I've been zapped by the 35,000 v. live anode lead of TV's many times. Shocking, makes you jump up and down and curse, yes. Lethal, not likely - unless you stay in contact with it for more than a few seconds. Yes, there is a residual charge left on the anode lead after powering off and unplugging the unit, but even if you were to come in contact with it, it would only last a second. Certainly enough to get your attention, but enough to kill you? Hardly. The voltage is high, but the current is very low.
That said, it's not a good idea to mess around inside of a TV when it's on, unless you know what you're doing.Ethernet (n): something used to catch the etherbunny -
Obviously, you aren't a 90 year old man with a pacemaker
Ok, I'll admit to hyping up the drama a little. The odds of residual current killing you are pretty slim -- but it can happen, and so a warning seemed in order. -
Actuallt the picture is quite crappy.
and yes you do have to turn off all the lights.
but a nice evening sitting down and watching spongebob ain't so bad............. I
havent tried the tv flip, dont even no if im going to but if i do ill try getting pictures. -
