I have a .avi/XViD movie with a .sub file for English subtitles. The video file works great, however I need to see the subtitles. I tried to use ffmpeg to burn the .sub file on to the video...but nothing seems to be working. I've tried to encode the file into a number of different formats...each time with the subtitles selected and in the load subs area. When I preview from the filters tab...it plays the movie with the subtitles. When I encode, the video still looks great...but the subtitles never transfer. What do I need to do? I tried to use both track 0 & 1...but since they're from disc that shouldn't matter anyways, should it? My main objective is to write the subtitles on to two video files in question, merge them in to one and then burn them to DVD...so if anyone knows the easiest way to burn .sub files onto a DVD it would be appretiated. Hopefully someone can help me. Thank you.

I'm afraid that my answer is so stupid! But anyway, here is what I think.
How about... to output the video (with showing subtitles) to video out of your video card and re-capture it by... whatever way you want!! DOH!!
nevermind...
