We can edit users posts but we do so very rarely and then its usually just to fix up a BBCode mistake or remove something offensive.

Do you work in like an office? Looks like someone has come along after you posted and clicked the edit button. If they get in there within a certain time frame after you initially post they can edit it without the edit line showing.

Bloody clever cat if it was,
it's managed to go into two different forums, edit both of my posts - no one elses, just mine, which means it must be able to read, and click the submit button

anyway, I apologise to all mods - it seems i have narrowed the search down to two people.
My wife and my oldest daughter - since yesterday a few remarks have been dropped to make me think someone in my house is playing silly buggers.
I shall sit down this evening and explain this forum is no place for these kind of antics and that it is dedicated to helping honest good working people to backup their original optical media.
