  1. OK, i could'nt get a vcd mpg to load into scenarist so i decided to try tmpgenc author as it seems easy to use.I load the mpg file into tmpg author and it gives me a error...

A video sequeance header is necessary for every GOP in a standard dvd
The video sequeance header is incorrect

What the hell is going on here... i read all these guides on getting a vcd onto a dvdr, they all say that because a vcd res and mpeg1 is under the dvd standard all you have to do is resample the audio.....
I cant even get the video in the author programs without errors..

Try to De-Mux the VCD in the Mpeg Tools of TMPGenc then remux and maybe this will install the headers properly for you .Make sure you choose VCD and not Mpeg-1 when you remux.
If that doesn't work you may have to reencode the file.

  4. It will not accept the file with that error, at least not for me.

In testing a file with video seq. header errors I had to demux, and run MPEGSequenceMakerv02.exe from the tools menu on the left, (thanks to the originasl poster who mentioned this program) remux and it worked fine after that. Alternatively I was also able to (usually) re-encode with TMPGenc and use it that way also.

    Cheers
