  1. Someone on another DVD list mentioned this app by Zoo.
    www.dvd-extra.com
It apparently makes far more interactive DVD's. Been used to make games, quiz show DVDs, etc.
Anyone have any experience with it? It seems to be a licensed, proprietary application but the site is not clear. I'm infering this from the fact that they don't seem to actually offer the app for sale on their site. Be curious to know.

I'm guessing it's an internal program/system only they can use to produce products for other companies. So it's probably just a service they're offering, not an application.

    Sounded great though. Darn it.

I downloaded their White Paper, and it sounds like a great idea.

In a sense, it's just a DVD Designing/Encoding/Authoring/Emulation app on steroids.

Yes, they specifically say that you could do this with Maestro or Scenarist/Creator, etc., but what they're saying is great about this is that you can code more similarly to the way you would with Director/Flash or something, and it'll generate the STANDARD DVD-Video VOB/PGC structure for you.

It sounds like they are providing a service, but it also sounds like they'll be selling the app to end users. Good news ahead!
