I am experincing a problem with dvdx. I would like to encode a dvd to svcd. I get a warning saying that the output and input frame rate are not equal pull down(up) will be preformed. Also another error saying dvdx error, auth.dll. can't authenticate drive disk may be not locked. But even after these 2 warings I am still able to continue.
By the last warning I had to stop and that was during encoding. I get the message: sample not found or audio decoding error. It happens sometimes at the begining or end of the movie select continue will will audio buffer with blank continue ?
I decide to continue of course. But after 1 hour when the encoding is finished. I discover that the entire movie is out of audio/video sync.

In the past I have occausionally had problems when fps pullup or pulldpwn is required. In one case I just kept getting audio problems, I tried all sorts of combinations of settings until I eventually solved it. Surprisingly it turned out that for that particular movie all that was required (to fix the audio problem) was to select the "force 24Hz". No idea why it worked but maybe you should give it a try.
BTW. Have you tried ripping the DVD to HDD first to see if that helps. I sometimes find that things go a bit smotther if I've ripped to HDD first.
Also it often helps to play the DVD for a minute or two in a conventional software DVD palyer (eg powerDVD, winDVD etc) before ripping/encoding. Somehow it helps "unlock" the files.
