    Which one you all use?

I found 8.8 to be darker and more gainy on TV and capture video playback - tested on both AIW Radeon and AIW 128PRO.

I'd have to point you to 8.7 with my experience. The latest Catalyst and MMC 8.8 threw the audio out of sync (mp2) by a second or so.

Uninstalled the Cat. driver and MMC 8.8 and reinstalled the previous Catylst and MMC 8.7 and all was fine. No back to perfect sync and clean captures.
    Have a good one,

  3. I have not noticed any problems with the new Cat, but 8.8 gave me problems. My MPEG1&2 captures were ok but it sure made my AVI framerate unstable. Capturing AVI with MMC would never give me the exact framerate 2 times in a row. (?) Strange to say the least.

I find MMC 8.5 to be my most stable for AVI framerate captures with MMC. It's always 29.970 everytime. My other capture programs don't seem to mind which version MMC I have installed. They don't seem to suffer from this framerate problem like MMC does. I don't have an explination except that maybe ATI MMC actually sucks!!!! lol

As for TV picture and capture quality I don't see any difference.

    Good luck.

  4. I've stuck with 8.5 ever since the fiasco I had with 8.6 (kept dropping frames). I don't trust any version past 8.5.

I have hell almost every time I change. The last time I did
    did a format C: and installed 8.8 first . I don't notice any difference
from 8.5 except the probablility of missing a scheduled capture
has apparently gone down. I still don't trust it.
