  1. there is a dvd I want to buy, but it is only available on dvd in australia and is region 4

    if my stand alone will not play it

    what would be the best way around this problem?

    Rip it. Most rippers/transcoders are set to remove RPC as default.

  3. i have a DVD of an English Movie

    i don't know its region
    my DVD ROM is set to region 1

    what should i do to see the movie
    drive accesses the disc but can't play or browse for vob files

    please help

  4. if you want to watch it on your computer;

    1) rip it with dvddecrypter in iso mode

    2) mount iso through daemon tools

    3) watch with your dvd playing program of choice (i suggest powerdvd 4/xp)


    if you want to watch it on your standalone transcode the dvd to dvd5 and burn.. if its already a dvd5, just rip it to an iso and burn it with recordnow max.. your standalone/tv may not play it if it is not the same tv type that you have (pal/ntsc)
