  1. I converted 5 avi files to MPEG's using TMPGEnc, then authored a Video DVD using TMPGEnc DVD Author. I then burned the files to a Datawrite DVD-R using Nero and a Sony DRU-510A. The DVD plays fine using Power DVD on my pc, but will not play correctly on my standalone DVD player. The disc is recognised by the player but the picture repeats itself several times on the screen, there is no colour, and the image flickers constantly. the sound seems to play correctly tho. Anyone have any ideas what could be causing this?

Not too familiar with the models numbers for Sony stuff....but MOST of their older DVD Players wouldn't even play CD-R's. They(Sony) were real bastards when it came to copies of anything played in their machines.
