    My ATI MMC 8.1 crashes everytime I go to capture with it. I think it is a bad codec from a previous Pinnacle install...but I digress. Before I try to solve THAT problem, I wanted to find out if MMC will allow brightness or contrast adjustments to the capture, not post capture. If not, I will just stick with Ulead VS.

    I am capturing in MPG2 and hope to avoid all rendering before I author/burn.

    yes mmc will allow for brightness , color, contrast adjustments. go to www.lordsmurf.com to read some great guides for capturing with mmc.
