Is there a program which will compare a burned disk to an ISO. This way I know if for some reason there was an error in the burn without watching the whole movie?

i think Dvd Info can do that. it's also great to see the media code on your blank discs to see who made them.

RecordNow verifies the data automatically when it finishes burning.

Thanks for the help,
I downloaded DVDInfo and ran the verify, and it found a bunch of errors. I then burned another disc and tryed it and it also showed errors.
So thats 3 in a row that have given me errors. Could it be that I just got a couple of bad discs, or is it possible that my drive is dying?
I have burned over 100 discs with this burner, and the current batch of discs I'm using is Ritek G04's. It was a batch of 50, and I'm half way threw. All of the previous discs did not have any problem at all, so thats why I'm a little worried.
BTW. I'm using a Pioneer 106D -
that's interesting to get those kind of results with those discs. i had the impression ritek was an alright brand, though i've not used any yet. i'll test a couple of my backups that i believe to be "perfect" copies and see the error count dvd info gives me.

Don't get me wrong, I have used about 75 Ritek G03/4 and have been more then happy with the results.
With Ritek's I have never had a compatibility problem, thats why I'm worried its the drive -
Does it play alright in your standalone? Because that's all that really matters right?
Blah, blah, blah -

No the discs don't play OK. What happens is that in the middle of the movie they will pause, or skip like there was a scratch on the disc.
Lordsmurf is dvd speed to test the discs or is it to test my drive? -
It looks like you got the same problem as I have...

Well I have been able to properly burn 2 discs, and they got verified perfectly fine so I'm guessing that there must be something wrong with this part of the spindel, which sucks since G04's arn't cheap.

Is it more worse at the end of the disc?!?
or is it just the same as half-way?!? -
pretty much all the errors happen after the 80% mark of the verification, and on some discs only after 90%

Ya, which is good and bad.
Good since it means my burner is ok.
Bad in the way that I just wasted about 12 dollars worth of discs, and I don't know how many more are bad.
Well I just hope my next batch of g04's are better then this batch
