  1. i just got into converting dvi to svcd...and i read all of the recommendations and it seems that this is the best program to do it...but when i downloaded it a 30 day trial message came up...once the 30 days are over i wont be able to make svcds with this great program anymore...is there anyway around this.

  2. You win!!! for re-posting one of the most common questions ever posted. Now instead of telling you to search before posting, I'm actually going to give you the answer. (Which I found by searching)

    THIS IS HOW YOU DO IT: The 30 day limit can be reset by deleting the following registry key:
    HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\CLSID\{63902277-B101-4049-8B46-C24B67E155E5}

    Or, make a file "TMPGEnc_MPEG2_Reset.reg" with the following content:

    REGEDIT4
    ; Enables TMPGEnc's MPEG-2 encoder for 30 more days.
    [-HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\CLSID\{63902277-B101-4049-8B46-C24B67E155E5}]


    Double click this magical mystical file when your TMPGenc expires and you'll be amazed at the result.
