Aloha All,
I have an IBM thinkpad Laptop with only a dvd drive.
I wud like to replace it with an internal combo (CD-RW/DVD) drive, or DVD-RW drive.
IBM charges an aram and a leg from there website. I am aware however, that several different models cud work in this laptop, just not sure which ones.
Appreciate if anyone can tell me which Burners wud work on my thinkpad.
Cheers

Could you not use a external enclosure connected to firewire or usb2 port.
That would get round your problem.

NOTE : T30 does NOT have USB2 / firewire
But the external enclosure idea is valid.
Try a PCMCIA firewire adaptor.

HI,
very valid. I am sure that wud work (though no built in USB2.0). Thing is, I do a lot of mobile computing, so having to Lug about an external enclosure wud be a major headache....
I cud do with a CD-RW combo drive, what sure dont want to dish out $200 for it !!!
