  2. The size varies of a dvd varies you then need to edit. 10gb might be enough but I would be more confident with 15

Smartripper tells you how much you will need to rip the DVD files that you selected. But in any case, it will be less than 8.6GB of free space required.

    Hi,

I don't know what "k cheers tha moviez" means, but I suppose you want to know how long it takes to rip a DVD.

It depends on the hardware specs of your PC and on the DVD size. A size of 4 GB would require less time than a size of 8 GB.

A PC with a 3GhZ CPU, 512mb and ATA 100 IDE and harddrive would rip faster than a 600 MhZ CPU, 64mb and a hardrive working in Pio mode 2.

Third: even the condition of the DVD is important. It will take (much) longer when the DVD is scratched and/or dirty.

So, I think that it is quite impossible to tell how long it takes to Rip a DVD. People probably will tell you about their experience, but as you can see above there are many conditions which might impact this.

In General: for an average DVD (between 5 - 7 GB), it takes mostly between 10 - 15 mins.

    regards,
    The Dutchman

Rip? 10-40 minutes. Convert to something else? 30 minutes to 48 hours, depends on what you have in mind....
