  1. .....it started asking for missing VOB files?

Basically ripped whole DVD movie to HDD using DVDecryptor ~7gig.
Using Ifoedit managed to create new "cut down" version in which i have the main movie + menus and 1 extra. All other extras taken out ~6gig.

    e.g.
    Full:
    VTS_01_xx
    VTS_02_xx
    VTS_03_xx
    VTS_04_xx
    VTS_05_xx
    VTS_06_xx

    Cut Down:
    VTS_01_xx
    VTS_04_xx

Corrected VTS Sectors etc in ifoedit and it plays fine. Also plays fine in PowerDVD.

Now, because the cut down is still over the limit of a DVD5, i try to open the files in Shrink 3.1 but as soon as i do it generates the message "Missing file: VTS_02_xx".

Tried in 3.0beta5 and similar error, but works in 2.3.

I've done this before where i have "chopped and changed" a DVD and Shrink has been able to open the files successfully.

Is this a bug, or must you have the correct number of VOBS for the new version of shrink to work, or do i need to modify the .ifo files somehow?

    Thanks in advance.

  2. Cut Down:
    VTS_01_xx
    VTS_04_xx
It's looking for the files between these two VOB files. For compliant DVD's you must have sequential files, so try renaming the second file to VTS_02_xx.VOB and see what happens.

Seriously, why not use DVDShrink to do what you did with DVDDecrypter and IFOEDIT? It will save you 2 steps.

Probably because DVDShrink doesn't keep the menus when you reauthor and i don't want the full disk copy as most of the extras i can do without.

I have tried changing the VT_04_xx files to VT_02_xx but this doesn't work either.

Like i said, i've done this a few times before where i've "chopped and changed" and it has worked. What can be stopping it now?

Why are you deleting the Vob files that are in between?

If you are stripping sections of video using IFOEdit, the program creates an entire new set of vobs + ifo for the requested titleset. Why delete anything? Just set IFOEdit to strip, for example: the VTS_1_01 - 04 when it finishes, you should have something like:

    VTS_1_01
    VTS_1_02

Just get rid of the old titleset vob files in your dvd folder and replace them with these new ones. Same with the IFO file.
