  1. i created my first DVD this past weekend and found that it was fairly simple and worked good. i was just wondering if anyone else is using the same device to capture and author as i am, and what they've found gets the best results for the final product. i'm capturing through the Dazzle DVC 80 and it's pretty smooth. the two things i noticed was some pixelation and some stuttering in the frame during playback. almost like some frames were dropped (when i was capturing it said i was getting 0 dropped frams though.) i wasn't sure if this was just a problem when capturing through an analog source or if i could tweak some settings to prevent these problems. i use Pinnacle Studio 8.10 which is great for a beginner like me. thanks for the suggestions.

Have also just authored my first DVD using the Dazzle Fusion and Movie Star 5.0 program. Had been trying to use my Show Biz software that came with my HP 300i DVD writer but was having lots of problems getting the audio and video to sync. I came to this site and tried several different programs to help correct the sync problem but still was not satisified. I finally went back to the Dazzle Fusion and Movie Star 5.0 and captured the video as AVI files and then took each file and put it into the storyboard of Show Biz and and completed the authoring process to burn the DVD. My only concern is that the Dazzle only allows video capture in the AVI format. Twelve minutes of video was 1.8 gig. I wonder if there is a chance that the Dazzle Fusion could capture video in MPEG 2 instead. I have a 30 gig hard drive but I'm afraid I'm going to have to get a 120 gig (or larger) hard drive.

Are you using DVD Complete? I wanted to include it but I'm running Roxio 5.0 and don't want to delete it. As a result my authoring material is done with Show Biz (pretty neat program).
