I like POWERVCR software a lot. It is fast, good interface, and live transcoding works fine even if you haven’t a monster PIV on 2.8Gigs. But I have a few problems according to changing resolution of captured file. I read a lot of articles in this forum according to “registry hack” presented on lordsmurf’s site: http://www.digitalfaq.com/capture/nonatimpeg/nonatimpeg.htm
I try to do it in practice, but I have a lot of problems, I finally I give up. But maybe other guys on forum have some good ideas!
Here is the problem: I did it on the same way as lordsmurf’s said change hkcm and hkcu registry values. When I want to create a new profile I made the profile as mpeg2 good(copy), I have 480 x 480 or 352 x 480 and 544 x 480 on drop down list, but when I try to transcode in this resolutions, the resolution of output file is 720 x480 (NTSC). The same situaton is with PAL system. I am a little bit confused.
Any ideas?!, Suggestion?!![]()

Luna

Hi Luna,
I tried 480*576 (SVCD PAL) and the registry hack worked great. Are you sure you changed the right values ?
