Hey!
I totally newbie in ripping&encoding business. I've bought a United DVX 4066 player. I'm just trying to find te best codec, resolution and framerate for my player.
I've used Gordian Knot to do the encoding following doom9.org instructions. I made a DivX 5.11 25fps 720X576 with AC3 sound for 2CD's. The result was 1 434 578 KB video, which looked really great!
After this I tried XviD with AC3 sound also for 2 CDs. This however resulted a 1 100 MB video, which looked quite crappy in parts of the movie where's lots of movement.
Why did I get such small movie, eventhough I selected 2CDs?
