How to by pass a ROOT screen on a Samsung DVD Player??

Hi everyone,

I have a Samsung DVD Player. Model is DVD-P231. I put a Divx in my Player which i know it won't play. I just want to see will it play. I get a screen that comes up as ROOT. If i highlight ROOT on the left side and hit enter it brings me to the ROOT on the right side. If i highlight ROOT on the right side of the screen and hit enter in upper left hand corner it flashes loading really quick i mean real quick. My question is. Is there a way to by pass that ROOT screen just so i can try to play the Divx?? Please reply back. Thanx guys.

No, the root screen you are seeing is to navigate playable files (such as mp3) inside folders. This is a default screen when the player detects a data track with no adjacent raw mpeg stream.
