  1. What programs are people using to capture from a ps2? I try all Vdub, VirtualVCR, etc. but they all don't show a proper preview of the video properly.

Eg. When previewing a VHS, if I stop the VHS then play again, the preview stuffs up and doesn't continue previewing, I have to restart the program. It's okay with VHS, because you can just press play, and leave it playing to capture.

When I try the same with ps2, it previews about 2 seconds, then "stalls", and won't preview anymore.

Basically I'm trying to play the ps2 on the computer screen / or capture it. Is there a program designed just to show video-in footage? Rather than capturing it.?

    Nebula Digital TV card w/ video-in, P4 2.6, 512
Thanks for any help, sorry about the long post.

you don't need to capture video from a dvd,
aslong as you have a dvd rom drive in your pc you can "rip" the dvd to your hard drive, which is basically copying the files on the disc while removing any protection,

now where you want to go from here is upto you - A whole new world of problems has just entered your head
