    I have been looking at the pioneer burner seems to be reasonablly priced. The DVR-106 or A06 or the A06U. Could anyone tell me are these 3 different models or the same model. Different places call it by different numbers not really sure if it is different drives or the same. As being new to dvd burners these models burn dual layer dvd. Do all burners burn dual layer or certain models. Thanx all.

    The DVR-106, A06 and the A06U are the same model, just differences in warrenties and the software it comes with. This is not a dual layer burner (because dual layer burners are not available commercially yet) but a DUAL FORMAT burner, which means it can burn both -R and +R media.
