took some aspirin today, and i came up with a question for everyone. when you take pills, do you put the pill in your mouth, then take a drink of water and swallow? or do you take a drink of water, then put the pill in your mouth and swallow? i know its a stupid question but im really bored.
i always drink some water, then the pills.

how about the option not to take any!
I try to keep my body as pure as possible
this includes not taking over the counter meds that get over used these days (asprin, acetometaphin etc)
perscription pills ONLY if I am totally under the weather via something that is Bacterial (dont take pills for virus people...)
yet when i DO take them...
pill in mouth
water in mouth
swallow
more water afterwards -
Pills make me gag, the only way I get them down is drink of water toss them into the back of throat and then quick as I can take large gulps of more water.

Just vitamin and mineral supplements - one I'm required to take and the others are recommened.
my intake is by MGs not number of pills.
I guess I usually take the pill first then swallow with water. -
Occasionally, I do get a headache or some kind of sinusitis and I don't normally take any as the discomfort usually goes away.
Drink plenty of water is best and this is especially when I am hot or having a cold. -

But I've also taken some before with candy. Chew the candy up to the point you would usually swallow, pills, swallow, more candy.....this method is much better tasting -
one after the other until I run out
Hope is the trap the world sets for you every night when you go to sleep and the only reason you have to get up in the morning is the hope that this day, things will get better... But they never do, do they? -

Chewing greatly increases the surface area upon which you have to work, and you end up with a huge whop of drugs into your system. It's like alcohol - you could drink ten shots of spirits in a couple of hours, or 30 seconds. Spacing the intake over time, you'd be fine. A bit thump of alcohol and you'll feel a bit ill. And probably wind up talking to Huey on the big white phone.
This might be why it says on the side of most packs of painkillers "Do not chew". Maybe.
Personally, I swallow them whole with water, or use instant tablets that dissolve in your saliva.
