Using 352x288 MJPEG-18 to capture TV, view perfectly in 100% but like garbage in 200%. As show.
I'm going to encode them in Divx, likely going to watch them in 200%.
Can anyone suggest some filters to make it look better?

temporal smoother might help.. but capturing at a higher resolution to begin with will give you the best results.

Thanks
So when discuss about "video quality", in this forum, e.g. capture TV in 352x288, that's only talking at 100% right?
Then what will be comment on this capture?:

Firstly lets examine why you want to watch the movies at 200%. Windows Media Player can zoom to 50%, 100% or 200%. This is using a simple resize engine and so most 352 x 288 movies at 200% look patchy because the computer has to use an educated guess as to the content of half the pixels. It does a very good job to produce the output it does. If I were you I would forget about watching things at anything other than 100%. The reason I say this is because it is much easier to control things from the capturing side. Capture at the res you wish to watch at. In a perfect world with limitless HD space, capture uncompressed as well. I recommend this because it means that you are only generating losses once because you will only convert once. Convert straight from uncompressed to DivX and stick to 100% viewing for the best possible results.
If in doubt, Google it. -
Thanks jimmalenko, I'm agree on that but found a better solution
Read thur this website last nite, http://www.lukesvideo.com/, than give rmvb a try, big impress for the result!!!
Using max bitrate of the MJPEG file I checked from GSpot, about 4000+kbps, 100% quality, High-noise-reduction, Sharp-motion and Black-level-correction, the created file size just about half to 1/3 of the Divx files.
rmvb work so good on cartoon/animations!! Just sharp and clear even in 200% or full screen viewing. It may lost much details but just too much better than in Divx.
Btw, it encode fast!! 23mins MJPEG file take about 16mins only!! (Using AMD 3200+)
