    I have just started on the road to Video editing etc and have been using Pinnacle Studio 8.5se which came with my Camcorder.

    What I would like to know is does anyone have any suggestions of software to use for editing and encoding etc, I was considering upgradin to Studio v9 but would like your input before I got and purchase it.

    I need something that is easy and straight forward to use, something a total idiot could use successfully

    I thought that I would getting a better product if I upgrade and as it came with my Camcorder soimetimes it's cut down software.

    Are you saying that 8.5 will do what I want it to do and not bother with upgrading to v9?

    Get proficient with what you already got, and try your hand at some of the free tools available on the net before you go blowing money on software that won't really benefit you untill you get to knowing what you're doing with it.
