    HI,
I am using DVD2SVCD and the problem is this:
I have this DVD and when I load the IFO file for ripping, I can choose only One of the episodes, there are 9 episodes on this DVD. I can choose any episode I want but ONLY one episode at a time!

I read the forum a bit and did as DVD2SVCD had suggested, I ripped each one of these episodes and placed them in a directory called "1" and then the next one in directory called "2" and so on until I had all nine episodes in 9 different directories.

Then I changed the name the VOB file in directory 2 so that it was 0ne number higher so that VTS_01_1.vob was changed to VTS_01_2.vob and this was repeated for all 9 episodes.

I then moved the IFO and Vob file from the first directory to a directory called SOURCE. From other Directories I moved only the VOB file to this directory so that all VOB files were numbered from 1 to 9.

I proceeded to convert these into SVCD. The funny thing is that I get a BIN file sized 823 MB, but it only contains the first episode which is repeated many times in the CD.

What is the problem? What am I doing wrong? How a DVD like this can be converted? This is the first time I have come across a DVD compiled this way.

Any help or suggestions are welcome.

    Cheers
PS. I, unfortunately, can not post the log file since I tried to rip the ripped VOBs again and I got this "I/O error 103 The operation completed successfully" and this process overwrote the previous log file and the LOG file I have now is basically useless for the purpose of finding the problem.

Added later: I checked the VOB files and as it turns out all of them are the FIRST episode only. Even though I chose each different episode separately, it ripped only the first episode each time! Any suggestions?

  2. After you've ripped the individual episode VOB's, rename them as VTS_01_001.VOB, VTS_01_002.VOB, etc. Then put them all into a single directory. Use IFOEDit and press the CREATE IFO button (browse to path with the renamed VOB's). This will create the IFO file for the series of VOB's and epsiodes and should load into DVD2SVCD.

That's how I do it and it works for me !!
