  1. Hello,

Which TV set (brand names and model) you will reccomend to buy in USA? Size I'm looking for is something like between 23" and 29". I'm using Xbox and Philips 724 standalone DVD player. Also I have Sony receiver. Thanks.

It is really hard to say. How much do you want to spend? What features do you want? Do you want a regular tv? HDTV? What inputs do you need on the back?

To get the best out of you xbox I would suggest going HDTV. Xbox supports 480i, 480p, 720p, and 1080i resolutions. This is one of the reasons that Xbox is superior to PS2. PS2 can only display 480i. Take the test, compare a PS2 game on an HDTV to an Xbox game (wow what a difference). If price is your limiting factor, I would suggest getting a TV wil at least 480p w/ component inputs. 480p will looks 10x better that 480i when playing Xbox, trust me I know.

  5. Can't reccomend a particular model, as I have no idea on budget and am also in the UK. But I think the best manufacturers of TV's as far as audio/visual quality are Phillips and Sony.

  6. Thanks for quick reply guys!
Well, I didn't mention price range. What I'm looking for is something like Advent 27" Flat-Tube HD-Ready TV with 4-Line Comb Filter at http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage.jsp?id=1051826205151&skuId=5338208&type=product&pr...oryId=cat03003
It has all inputs I need and price ($470) is acceptable but it's sold out. If anyone know better model for that money please advise. Thanks.

Yes, you should get a flat tube. I saw some samsung and philips 27" TV for around $300. You can get an open box TV for $30+ cheaper. I

I was looking for a Apex 32" Pure Flat Screen TV ($499). But I saw in the review that it was at $350. Maybe I'll wait for a good offer.

  9. I'm in Boston area. I'll try to check local Bestbuy store this weekend. Maybe they will have more info about Advent, but I will check similar models too.
