I just got DVDinfoPRO and run some test on my dvd+r. They all have lots of read errors. I tested a dvd+r I know was bad burnt and it gave 21697 errors. I then tested a dvd i know played without problem in a coupel of dvd players and it gave me 7931 errors. The best test so far gave me 433errors.
So guys this dosen't sound that good! Do DVDinfoPRO allways give you read errors or what? I mean what is a normal number of errors?
(I have test MCC A01, MCC 001, RICOHJPNR00, CMC MAG F01 so far)

When i do a good burn on good quality ricohjpnr01's or TDK's I get 0 read errors, now if I get a "good" burn on CMC's I get anywhere from 200-8000 read errors, even though they seem to play fine.
Could be any number of things, Update to the latest firmware for your burner, try burning with a different program, try burning at a slower speed, make sure DMA mode is on, on your drives, Laser dirty?, are you labeling the discs?, move DVD burner to IDE2 device 0.
That should give you enough to get you started. But as far as i'm concerned if DVDInfoPro gives me 1 read error, then I no longer burn that way, to get the CMC's to burn without error I need to burn them at 2.4x.. thank god I only bought these once.. -
This is a bit strange. I tested some original dvd movies and they also gave me over 1000 read errors! But one hour later I tested a dvd+r again that gave me 7000 read errors before and now it didn't report a singel error just a few withe block? So can you trust the results that dvdinfopro gives you or what?

127 views and only one replay, don't you people use dvdinfopro?
However I have a new question. Do you use ASPI or SPTI settings in dvdinfopro?
If I chnge to ASPI, it seems like not even the discs that have some playback problem report errors! -
It takes awhile to test a DVDR. Of the 15 or so full test's I've done, I've had Zero errors with my RITEK G04's or my TDK 2x-R's. That's out of 150 burns (so i've tested maybe 10%). All tests were with the DVDRW drive and not my DVDROM (older model, won't read DVDR's)
To Be, Or, Not To Be, That, Is The Gazorgan Plan -
Still no replays on whether to use ASPI or SPTI setting in dvdinfopro.
If I use SPTI setting even original dvds can give me read errors and if I use ASPI setting some dvd+rI know don't work good pass without read errors!

I have never used this program, I figure if it plays when burnt, COOL. If not, then something didn't work.
Remember, I am a newbie at this <100 burns.
