  1. Has anybody tried the Generic 4x DVD-R media at blankmedia.ca? What kind it is? Does anybody know?

  2. Stay away from generic dvd media, if someone doesnt want to put a name on it it must be bad, also you have no idea of the media code, if it was good quality from a good name the website would advertise this fact.

  3. These are generic disks with a Maxell code. The only burners these have been proven not to work is Optorite and the newest Plextor. These are great value for the money and very compatible. The Maxell media code provides the quality of a Maxell branded disk without the price.

    That is what it says about them on the website...

  4. Take that with a huge pinch of salt - all it means is it gives the recorder a clue as to the write strategy that might not be anywhere near close to what it should be.

    Mutton dressed as lamb is still mutton, no matter how flashy you make it look. Hijacked or ripped off codes show poor business practice - don't encourage these dodgy manufacturers by giving them your money !
