Can any tell me some cd-r brands that work on a dvp-s530d sony dvd player. Ive tried memorex cd-rws and it worked but when i erased it, burnt a new vcd on it and tried it again, it didn't work. The player said please insert a disc. Can anyone tell me why?

Also , dont just try something once.. it could be a one-off.. try other possibilities.. diff movie, diff burner, diff burner software, diff speed.

Is right. I burn alot of CDs, on 4 differant burners. Some don't like some disks, and sometimes one disk on a spindle won't burn right, but the rest will.

try a burn at 1x, my sony wont take anything over 4x
