  1. I recently backed up my copy of Basic onto a DVD-R using DVD Decrypter and DVD Shrink (like shown on LordSmurf's website). This is my first one, I admit. Well, when I stick it into my DVD-ROM Drive on my computer it loads the DVD player program and plays fine, however when I insert it into my set top (Cyber Home Progressive Scan, nice player) if doesn't play. My set top player has a feature that allows it to browse a DVD or CD's file structure for photos or music, and thats the screen I get when I insert the DVD. I tried everything I could thing of, but it would not play. Just a file list that doesnt even show the .vob files. Any ideas? ANY...

What program did you burn the disk with? Did you make a VIDEO_TS directory for the files made by DVD Shrink?

  5. -I used Nero 6 Ultra Edution, just like shown at lordsmurf.com.
-Yes, there was a VIDEO_TS, and AUDIO_TS folder, Nero created that automatically.
-So You are saying that I should just Use DVDShrink directly from the DVD-ROM drive to a folder on the computer, then burn that?

ps- thanks much for the speedy reply

My guide uses DVD Decrypter because the built-in DVD Shrink decryption isn't perfect and won't always work.

Other than that, your player may not play that kind of media. Is it DVD+R?

Are you following my NERO guide, in addition to the DVD copying guide? It must be burned as a DVD-Video, not data. Sounds like data was burned.

  8. Yes, it was burned as DVD Video. And it is DVD-R, perhaps I should try DVD+R next time?

No actually, I was implying DVD+R won't work on most Cyberhome units.
