  1. Hi all,

I been looking to convert many clips to go on DVD's etc.. I been using various tools but I was just wondering if I was missing something has there been any advances in re-encoding tools.

I'm converting many formats DivX,mpeg1 etc..but it all takes so long...so is there any new fast encoding software out there?

  2. i use TMPGEnc alot and its known as the slowest (but best quality)

I here CCE is faster (but less quality)
i also use bbmpeg too and it seems quite quick and the quality isnt bad at all.

You also might find giving a Linux box ago for encoding if you got one handy, very efficient for encoding, i am only just getting into that side myself.
