My new APEX is displaying this problem, as has one Panasonic I've gotten discs from in the past.
I am on the newest APEX DRX-9000 firmware, 4004D from November 2003.
The IFO files being made by the recorder are bad, and it will sometimes cause you to randomly skip over up to 5 or 10 minutes of footage, even though it is in the VOB files.
DVD Decrypter is affected too, forcing me to extract the files in ISOBUSTER and then run a new IFO set in IFOEDIT.
Curious if anybody else is experiencing this or similar phenomena?
So far I have only caught this on two discs. One from a Panasonic, and one from my Apex.
It's not the end of the world, luckily, as the VOB is unaffected. It's just the IFO files. Still working on trying to restore the original menu, if that's possible.
