  1. The guide always talk about the low, medium or high bitrate for some configuration. However, I have no idea about what exactly they are. I have capture video from a Hi8 videoi with a capture card at 320*240 (29.97fps). I want to put about an hour's video in a CD-R. So the rate would be rougly 1100kb/s(video)+128kb/s(MP3). I usually use mutlipass (3 pass in total). What is this 1100kb/s belong to? The medium or high? Thank you very much. What kind of the configuration should I use? Should I turn the psychovisual enhancement on? Should I turn other things on?

  2. I would say its medium. You should get good/great results with it. About 700 is as low as I will go depending on the movie. So I think of 700 as high low. About 2000 would be high if you ask me. But it all depends on what your encoding. But I use Xvid but I doubt it makes much of a diffrence as far as this sort of info goes. If your source info is very good quality you dont need as much bitrate. So if you have great looking video you should be very happy with 1100. Though its all in the eyes of the beholder and I wear glasses... or i should.
