I just bought a Pioneer DVR-310 and burned a 45 minute DVD from my video camera via the firewire. It was in VIDEO mode with all the default settings and in fine recording mode. The disc was finalized in Video mode. The process worked perfectly and the product played back perfectly on the pioneer unit and my computer. I played it back on a new, basic RCA DVD player and while the video came through just fine, there was NO AUDIO (other commercial DVD's work fine on that RCA unit). Please help me figure this out - I'm new at all of this.
Here are a few facts that may give some information:
-Canon Optura 100MC camcorder, audio has options of 12 bit and 16 bit, was set to 16 bit.
-TDK DVD-R 2X media
-The DV input setting on the DVR-310 is on the default of Stereo1
Thanks,
Russ
