    i burn the disks and they wrk fine on most dvd players however with one they dont, it says skipping bad sector and starts up half way through the film, could this be a problem with the compression of the menus, as when a mate makes them using his software they work fine on the dvd player in question? and giving the expense of the dvd+r disks id rather get and opinion from here before burnign any more frisbees

    Is he using the same type/brand of media as you. Media compatibility is most commonly associated with this kind of problem.

    Try to burn your DVD+R/W discs with different bookypes,
    such as DVD-ROM or DVD-R, see wich one works for you.
    You got a Ricoh5240, right?
