  1. Hello,
I'm going crazy with a problem on Ulead DVD Workshop 1.2. If someone could help me... please
I created a video clip with Premiere 6.5, videoserver and Tmpeg on win98. The video, generated by a Tmpeg Template (Benny), has the follow characteristics : Mpeg2 PAL VBR9000, 720x576 audio 44100Hz, 16bit stereo, 128kbs.
Only with this file, that is 3.5Gb (about 1 our of film), as soon as I select "Finish", then "Make Disk" and click on "Record to Disk" the program goes in system crash!!! I noted that in the mask filed "required disk space" (below) it set a incredible value of several thousand of GB but the file is only 3.5Gb!!!!!! I'm not using "menu" option or other things. Only if I deselect "Do not convert compliant file....." it works but you understand that reconvert all video stuff is absurd. Another strange thing is that if I load in the program, video files coded with the same tmpeg template (but with audio setting difference) and with a dimension of about 2Gb or lower it works perfectly. It seems as if the program does not recognise the right dimension of coded mpeg file in the last step but if I click in the Edit step on "properties" it get the right dimension value. Does someone could help me?

    Thank you

  2. Your file does not appear to be DVD compliant.

Ulead DVD Workshop only supports the burning of compliant files.

To be specific, your 44khz audio does not comply with DVD standards.

  3. Thanks for your reply but I noticed that DVDWS always convert the audio information also when you set "Do not convert compliant files". Why does it not do the same thing? How I could bypass this problem?

I recently had a problem where a video file with 44 kHz audio caused DWS 1.3 to crash without warning. The crash would occur 3/4 of the way into the finish step.

Incidentally, it was a TMPGEnc file. I converted several video clips from my digital camera into VCD format. I believe it would have been better if I had TMPGEnc convert to VCD w/ 48 kHz audio.
