pc to tv how?

im probably in fantasy land here, but is there some kind of plug in or adaptor that will let me connect my pc to a tv with out having to go to expense of buying a new graphics card, im using a laptop, my own pc has a card with tv out but want to use the laptop on the widescreen down stairs????? anyone know or is it just wishfull thinking??????

You can get VGA to S-Video convertors, not sure how expensive they are though. You would also have to find a seperate way to get the sound from your Laptop to the PC.
