It is 1 and 54 minutes before New year and I am sitting here all alone. I didn't want to go with my parents to Poconos and now I feel sad that I didn't. I want to know is there anyone else sitting there as sad as me.

Don't see what the big deal is. I'm just sitting here at my computer working on my photos. I'm watching the news and all they talk about is security and metal detectors and looking out for people with books because lterature is dangerous. I'm just glad I'm here at home.

Yep I'm here all alone on New Year's Eve but hell I'm happy to be home alone. All the drunks will be on the road while I'm safe and warm at home. I'm backing up dvds on my other pc. I have many projects to do on my pc's. I have a day off on Friday, 1-02-04 which makes a long weekend for me. More time for me on the pc. Go Me!

Spending a holiday with family is what would make me sad. For that matter, talking to them or having any contact at all with them is a great way to ruin a day.

    Imagine this, I'm at work!

Doesn't bother me tho' I'm not one for bar or parties bigger then a small group of friends so I rarely do much for newyears anyway.

BTW if your in Central Standard, Happy new year.

Nothing wrong being home alone on New Year's. If you want to see the party, watch tv. When it's over, just hit the remote. No fighting crowds, worrying about terrorists, worrying about drunks, etc. I worked New Year's for years, so it lost it's luster some time back, as this was one of the biggest pain nights of the year.

Exactly who wants to be out there getting hit by drunk drivers anyway. I hear more emergency sirens on the streets outside my job when I'm on smoke breaks tonight then any other night of the year. F that noise. I'll collect my double time and save the party for a night thats worth it.

  13. I have got to clean up the bombsite this morning, after my new years eve party. It seems like a good idea at the time to have one, until the next morning

I only had 2 of the Red cards and both were about movies, so I answered them without even seeing the choices.

We were great at acting out, humming a song, and guessing the word with letters blanked out.

  18. I went camping with friends for 4 days on the beach.

Letting off fireworks, drinking, playing footy, swimming in the ocean and just hanging out, no better way to spend New Years.

You should have gone to a bar or a venue of entertainment. Have some fun, don't be alone.

I've gone to a nearby club at around a hour before the midnight time of 2004.

I enjoyed the social good times and returned home at around 3.30 am.

The good thing, a lonely soul was there and I gave him company. He was just as sad as you.

I am sure there are plenty of places to go in New York. Next year, you go somewhere with a friend and have some fun.

I enjoyed spending my New Years alone....with my 27 inch TV and surround sound system, I had my own theater at home. Plus I worked on New Years Eve anyway so I was pretty tired when I got home. Sat home, had a nice glass of wine, and relaxed at home...watched the ball drop at Times Square on TV, and went to bed soon after. No way was I going to be out in the streets with the drunks and rowdies..lol. SOmetimes being alone isnt always a bad thing; you can do whatever you want with no hassles.

My New Years actually turned around. At about 1am one of my friends came to my house. AT about 2 oclock we got bored so I started looking in my cell if I could call someone who might be partying. My parents told me not to go anywhere cause of the orange alert and all the drunk weirdos. I did find that person. Me and my friend got to the place at about 3. They had it all girls, food and drinks. We got home at 8. THat night came out to be one of the best nights in my life.

  22. I was in bed by 11.30pm so didn't really care about any of it. Thought I would watch the celebrations live from Edinburgh only to find that they had been cancelled at the last minute due to security issues - it wasn't stormy by midnight! Even the London celebrations were crap, with a 3 minute fireworks display at the London Eye and that was it! No, Christmas & New Year isn't really my thing - I much prefer Easter ... all those chocolate eggs ... emmmmm!!
