I am mostly curious of what setup people are using if they have this working.
If you are running a windows guest on a linux host and are able to burn DVD+R through the guest OS please let me know some specifics. Like what windows and what burn program.
I believe I have everything setup but have been unsuccessful so far.
My DVD+R drive is HDA and is set in boot to append hda ide-scsi.
The virtual drive is set to scd0 using IDE0:0
I am not certain on how to make sure RAW access is enabled. I dont have legacy support on or anything like that though.
The drive reads fine through the guest but no burning yet.
Nero didnt work and I have tried a few others. Roxio is next I guess. Thanks for any help. -Aaron

vmware introduces too many layers between the driver and the hardware to be used for burning. You can't even burn CDs with it.
